Deal Therapy House
Dian Willmington-Foley MASC (Ad.P.Th) (Ad.Crim) (Ad.Rel) BSY (Reg) BSYA (Par) Member of Association of Stress Consultants. I am a member of the NHS Directory of Complementary & Alternative Practitioners and a BACP Associate.
Having attended South East Technical Colleges, University of Kent and BSY Devon. I have gained accrediation in a variety of subjects which have enabled me to practice in the field of Psychotherapy, Counselling, Hypno-Analysis and Regression. I am also a session tutor for Adult Education. I have and still do compose courses for various colleges, and articles for assorted magazines. As a therapist I ensure that each client is treated as an individual with treatments tailored to the clients needs and lifestyle. I offer a liaison service between the clients GP and the client. I also offer methods of contact outside office hours which ensures the client knows they have support whenever they need it.
As a professional counsellor/psychotherapist I have been trained to listen to your problems with an open mind, to understand as fully as possible what is concerning you and to explore how it is affecting your life. I work within an environment of absolute respect and confidentiality.
Gardening is a form of therapy which can be beneficial for all age groups alongside psychotherapy and counselling. Discovering how to care and nurture plants from runner beans to roses, from pots to raised beds will help aid recovery, reduce anxiety and restore confidence.
I am able to offer a gardening programme for the individual or residential homes.
Clients can attend one of the clinics held at local venues or I will work on site especially for company’s including care/residential homes.
I am now offering an additional service to help enhance the life of those who have dementia, terminal illness or are housebound by the use of memory boxes and albums . By setting up memory boxes for the individual within their own homes it not only helps the client but also their families. How often have we said I wish I knew more about grandma or granddad. This is an opportunity to benefit more than just the client and something which will leave lasting memories. By encouraging the client to make use of their senses of sight and sound they are given a new outlet which their familys and friends can also help to contribute to.
